Baccarat

Bag

Banker
This quite simply is the dealer in card games.

Bank Roll
The bank roll is what you have to play with and how much you are able to bet.

Bar the 12
This is when you change the 12 into a Push on the Don’t Pass Line in Craps.

Barred
This is also called Banned and tells a player they are not allowed into a casino.

Base
When you are playing Craps this refers to the area where most of the bets are placed.

Base Dealer
The Craps dealer who is in charge of one of the bases at the tables.

Basic Strategy
This is the system that is used to play Blackjack the correct way.

Bet
The wager that is placed before and during the games.

Betting Limits
This is a reference to the minimum and maximum amounts that a player can place on one bet. Every casino has limits that differ from other casinos.

Betting Right
When you are playing Craps this means that you are betting with the dealer.

Betting Wrong
This is the opposite and means that you are betting against the dealer.

Bingo
Bingo is a game that is played with players buying a card with numbers on it inside a grid. The numbers are called out randomly and to win a prize the player needs to be the first to complete a line of numbers vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Black Book
The Black Book contains the names and faces of people banned from any casino in the state of Nevada.

Blackjack
Blackjack is a hand of 21 with the first two cards. It is a game that is played against a dealer and you win by getting as close as possible to 21 without going over.

Blind Bet
Making a Blind Bet is when you bet without looking at your cards in Poker.

Blinds
In Texas Hold `Em Poker this a forced bet.

Boxing
Boxing is a single ticket that is made up with more than one parlay in Horse Racing.

Book
Book is when they accept a bet.

Box
Box is the area of the table controlled by the Boxman in the game of Craps.

Boxman
The casino employee who is in charge of the table in Craps.

Break
To go over 21 when playing Blackjack.

Break Even Point
This is a gambling term that’s is used for the point where if you played forever your bets and payoffs would equal each other.

Buck
A bet of $100.

Bug
Bug is a joker.

Bump
To bump is to raise the bet.

Burn Cards
These are the cards that are placed into the discard tray when the dealer has shuffled and cut the deck.

Bust
To bust is to go over 21 in Blackjack. Sometimes called a Break.

Buy In
The buy-in is the amount of cash used to buy chips at a table game as well as to buy chips or convert cash into chips
