Playing Keno at Black Diamond

Keno is a game of luck, similar to the lottery in that the outcome is based entirely on random matching results. The Keno board contains the numbers 1-80, listed consecutively. The player chooses from 1 to 15 of these numbers by clicking on each desired number, or by allowing the game to randomly generate 15 numbers for your wager.

The Keno payout table (or column) is visible at all times, located just to the left of the numbered wager board. Dependant on the amount of numbers selected in each draw, the paytable changes to accurately display the current payout possibilities. Another 2 column chart is found on the right and its function is to help you keep up with the previous rounds and number of matches in each. Prominently placed in the center is the numbered wager board where you select the desired numbers to bet on.

To begin, choose your wager size using the -/+ buttons. The minimum wager for Black Diamond Keno is $.05, and the maximum is $10.00 per draw – regardless of how many numbers are selected. While choosing more or fewer numbers does alter the odds of hitting these numbers, the payout is appropriately revised according to the bet.

Available options are clearly marked and the play simplistic enough for even the beginner Keno player. After selecting the wager amount, click on the desired numbers individually (or click ‘Generate 15 numbers’). A type of auto play is available by clicking ‘play 5, play 10, play 15, or play 20′ . This feature will automatically play the number of rounds selected using the same numbers initially wagered. To start the round click on ‘PLAY’ and as the Keno balls appear at the bottom, the numbers on the wager table that are hit will light up. All numbers called that were not selected for wager are marked with an X. Winning numbers are paid according to the chart on the left, and a new round can be started. To keep the same numbers, simply click ‘PLAY’ again. ‘Clear’ to remove the previous numbers selected and start with new ones for the next round.

Keno is all about luck, and your chances of winning are only as good as the numbers you choose being hit. With that in mind, the mark of a good Keno game for me is one that offers a pleasing design with straight-forward, no-nonsense game play. I’m not a fan of uneccessary animation while I wait to see if i’ve won, and the quick round results in this Keno game are a point in Black Diamond’s favor.
