Difference between Keno and Online Bingo
The game of keno has been around for thousands of years in one form or another. From the early days in China, where the idea originated, to the present day where it has grown into a very popular casino game. The way in which keno is played has been likened to the way bingo is played and it has the same basic format as a lottery.
Three differences between keno and bingo
Keno is played using the same principles as bingo with the exception of the selection of the actual numbers. Bingo players are given a card with a random series of numbers which they cannot choose, but the numbers are called in a similar way. The players have no control over any numbers as they do in keno.
The first type of keno game was based on a lottery-style game where participants would choose a selection of characters or numbers. These would then be drawn at random and players would mark off the numbers to see if they had won. Keno is in fact a lottery based game which moves at a faster pace and gives players full control of the way the game is played.
Keno rules are very simple to understand which is why so many people take part. In a national or state lottery the draw usually takes place at weekly intervals, whereas keno games take place every few minutes. The numbers chosen by the player are their own choice and are not set out as they are on a bingo card.
The keno card does have slightly more numbers for players to choose from which makes for a very exciting game. Keno is in a class of its own when it comes to online casino games and should never be underestimated.
