Explaining Craps Odds

Explaining Craps odds can seem slightly confusing, unless you have seen the game in action. Basically you are placing a bet on the outcome of two dice being rolled and there are quite a few combinations involved. Craps itself is built around the number seven, as there are so many ways to achieve this number with the two dice. The numbers two and twelve are the hardest to roll, as there is only one combination for each.

The craps odds are based around achieving the right combinations of numbers, such as the two and the twelve usually pay around thirty to one, as they are the hardest. A seven is around four to one as it is the easiest, with six different combinations available.

When making the safer craps bets, such as the pass line or come bet which means rolling a seven or an eleven. These pay at evens which means, you double your money if you win. There are several different bets you can make in craps and all have varying odds. These are displayed on the craps table but can also be seen before you play, just by moving your cursor over the particular craps bet.

Craps is not a hard game to master and once you have a better understanding of how each bet is worked out, you will be fine. The odds in craps are like any other game, the more chance of winning the bet, the lower the odds will be and vice versa.
