Most casinos use six decks and play with the cards face up, this is the easiest option for a player who is new to the game. The betting limits are also important, as you will find that the lower limit tables of $3 and $5 are the busiest and therefore the hardest tables to get on to. Be patient and remember your manners.
The chips which amount to the cash that you want to play vary slightly in casinos. In North America, they are usually Red, Green and Black with the amounts equal to $5-Red, $25-Green and $100-Black. You can then get the chips in the amount that you want and you are ready to bet. To buy in you simply place your money in front of you and exchange with the dealer. He will exchange what you have placed, so be careful to count it before you put it on the table.
When you become more proficient at the game then you will be able to move around the tables looking for ones with a lower number of decks. Less decks help you to reduce the dealer’s advantage.
One good thing that you are able to do is to watch games and ask questions of the dealer if you are unsure of anything. After this, when you play regularly then you will be able to learn the more advanced rules.
