Playing Baccarat Online
Playing Baccarat online is fun and easy to do. First you want to select an online casino, and since Baccarat can be a challenging game for new players, it’s best to find an online casino that offers a free play area.
In this area, you are allowed to practice the game at your own leisure, and to play just as you would with real chips. Only here in this special area, you can’t loose or win big, you just learn!
The actual play of online Baccarat is quite simple, even though the rules of the game are quite complex. The thing to remember first, is that the game has just three possible results, either Player wins, Bank wins, or there is a Tie.
The game begins with you placing a bet on Player, Banker, or Tie. The point is to accurately pick the winning hand. A winning hand is any that has the highest score at the end of play. Nine is the highest score and 0 is the lowest score you can achieve. Six or 9 decks of cards are shuffled, and then reshuffled after each hand.
The first step is to assess your wealth and then choose your bet. Choosing a bet is done by clicking the betting options on your chip stack, and here you just put the amount down that you want for one round of play.
Once you have your chips on your bet, you then click the deal button and the game begins. The cards are shoed down face up, in the following succession, and based on these precise rules.
Player and Banker get the first two cards. The Player hand then draws another card if the first two cards draw there total between 0 and 5. Otherwise, play proceeds to the Banker.
If the Banker was dealt a hand that totals 9, 8, or 7, the Banker play stops there. If the Banker’s first two cards total 0, 1, or 2, then the Banker draws one more card.
The casino then figures out who won based on a counting up of the score; the highest hand closest to 9, or a tie.
To understand this counting, you need to know this: Baccarat cards have specific values, and suits have no meaning. Cards 2 through 9 count as face value, while 10, Jack, Queen and King count as zero. Aces count as 1. When calculating the score of each hand, the values of each card are added and the first digit is dropped.
For example, if a hand has 3 eights (8+8+8=24), the first digit is dropped, leaving the hand with a value of 4.
You win if you placed a bet on Player and that hand had the highest total. If you bet on Tie, and the Banker and Player card totals are equal, you win up to 9 times your bet. If you bet on Banker and win, you pay a small commission on that gain (usually 4 to 5%).
So, manage your money using proven techniques, and then enjoy the game!
